Meet the Founders
Sychedelic is founded by Ria Rustagi and Bhavya Madan, the pioneering duo behind Neuphony, India’s first consumer neurofeedback wearable featured on Shark Tank India, Forbes 30 Under 30, Google for Startups, and UN Women.
Ria, an alumnus of NTU Singapore, Technical University of Munich, and, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, combines a background in Electronics and Communication Engineering with a passion for mental well-being inspired.
Bhavya, an engineer from Universität Passau, leads product and technology, specializing in neurostimulation systems and hardware design.
Together, they merge neuroscience, engineering, and empathy to build products that transform how humans focus, relax, and perform.
Ria's journey took a personal turn after losing her sister Pankhuri to a brain infection that went misdiagnosed with a brain infection. Ria, then set out to democratize mental health and make neuroscience accessible beyond hospitals and labs.
Their first venture, Neuphony, became India's first consumer neurofeedback wearable. But Ria and Bhavya wanted to go further. They envisioned something beyond clinical tools. Something people could use every day, effortlessly. That vision evolved into Sychedelic, a headphone that doesn't just play music, but helps you regulate focus, stress, and sleep through gentle neurostimulation and physiological tracking.
Every breakthrough in consumer tech came from reimagining something people already use every day. The watch became a health dashboard. The ring became a wellness tracker.
Now, the headphone — the world's most personal audio device — becomes a gateway to transforming the mind itself.
Sychedelic is not another wearable. It is the first active wellness device that doesn't just track — it transforms. With Boost Mode neuromodulation, HRV/PPG bio-tracking, and personalised audio, we unlock sharper focus, faster recovery, and calmer states.
Our ambition: by FY30, to build a $500M global business that redefines headphones (& potentially other form factors) as a new category of consumer wellness.
